I’m Ciara.

It’s pronounced KEY-ruh, if you wondered. I’m a Texas girl born and raised, working for the state in academic administration. I’ve also worked in Japan as an EFL and preschool teacher. My passion in life is live concerts; the artist doesn’t matter, it’s the live music and vibe that does. Also, I kind of like the picture there. There’ll be actual pictures and bios of the other posters soon enough.

There’s this band called Hanson.

Yeah, “that” Hanson. “MMMBop,” teeny boppers, 1997, all that. The band has released several studio albums, EPs, and singles; they’ve done charity projects overseas; they created a concept album and performed internationally with world-renowned orchestras. This is just a taste of what they’ve been up to since 1997. They’ve been consistently doing shows and selling out venues – and, well. My friends and I are still going to shows and events in 2024.

Pulling punches?

People have had so, so many opinions over the years about Hanson. And, well, in general. I’ll be clear – I do not always agree with them and their opinions. But, I also don’t agree with a lot of socially acceptable opinions in general. (I think everyone should be allowed to live their lives without government interference, and somehow this is a hot take?) While politics are NOT the focus of this blog, it’s very possible you may also disagree with opinions presented here by those of us posting. If you can respectfully disagree in comments, please share your opinion; those of us running the site will respect you.
